  • Clutch opened the majority of the US leg of Iron Maiden's "Ed Hunter Tour" during the summer of 1999, which was Maiden's first tour with both singer Bruce Dickinson and guitarist Adrian Smith since 1988.
  • Jackass and Viva La Bam star Bam Margera directed Clutch's video for "The Mob Goes Wild."
  • Since 2008's Full Fathom Five release, all of Clutch's albums have been issued via the group's own label, Weathermaker Music.
  • The producer of Clutch's third full-length album, The Elephant Riders, was Jack Douglas, who had previously worked with John Lennon, Aerosmith, Cheap Trick, Patti Smith, and Montrose.
  • Clutch singer/guitarist Neil Fallon does not follow a strict lyric-writing schedule while working on new material. In our interview with Fallon, he said: "When I sit down with a pad of paper, the only thing that happens is I end up getting drunk. And the next day the only thing I have to show for it is a blank piece of paper and a hangover. Inspiration usually comes when I'm pushing a cart in a grocery store or sitting in traffic, or sometimes even standing on the side of the stage during a jam at one of our live shows, things pop into my head for a beat no apparent reason."
  • For Clutch's tenth studio effort overall, Earth Rocker, the band credited touring with such renowned classic rock acts as Motörhead and Thin Lizzy as an influence on how the material turned out.
  • All four members of Clutch are also part of an offshoot band, The Bakerton Group. The sporadic group (they've only issued three albums since forming in 1999) focuses on all-instrumental bluesy/psychedelic jams.
  • Earth Rocker became Clutch's first album to crack to top 20 of the Billboard 200, when it debuted at #15 on the week after its release.
  • Fallon's younger sister, Mary Alice Fallon-Yeskey, appeared in the Food Network reality show Ace of Cakes, which aired 2006-2011. Ace of Cakes was shot on location at the bakery in Baltimore, Maryland and Mary Alice featured in most of the episodes as the office manager. One episode featured a cake, in the style of an amp, being made for Clutch.
