  • This clubby and dreamy track features Beyoncé's vocals. Queen Bey played alongside Coldplay at the 2015 Global Citizen festival and also contributed to another A Head Full Of Dreams track, "Up & Up."
  • Singer Chris Martin told London's Magic Radio's Jo Parkerson that this song features more of Beyoncé than she originally expected. "On one song, 'Hymn For The Weekend,' I said, 'Could this be a bit more of a duet?'" the vocalist said, "and we just - she was just so lovely to watch sing. She's so good, it's insane."

"When she's on the microphone in the studio, you can just tell that this is a person that can choose any color from the palette and do it perfectly, musically," Martin added. "She sounds a bit different, and she was very kind of humble. She didn't really want, she didn't ask for anything or say 'I need my own bit here.' She was so lovely."
  • Chris Martin originally wanted this to be a party jam, but his bandmates didn't think that would go down well with their fan base. He told The Wall Street Journal: "The original kernel was that I was listening to Flo Rida or something, and I thought, it's such a shame that Coldplay could never have one of those late-night club songs, like 'Turn Down For What.' What would we call it if we had one? I thought I'd like to have a song called 'Drinks on Me' where you sit on the side of a club and buy everyone drinks because you're so f--king cool. I was chuckling about that, when this melody came - 'drinks on me, drinks on me' - then the rest of the song came out."

"I presented it to the rest of the band and they said, "We love this song, but there's no way you can sing 'drinks on me.'" So that changed into 'drink from me' and the idea of having an angelic person in your life. Then that turned into asking Beyoncé to sing on it."
  • This features "programming" from Avicii. Coldplay previously worked with the Swedish EDM artist on the 2014 single "A Sky Full Of Stars."
  • Chris Martin's two children, Apple and Moses, and Bey's daughter, Blue Ivy, also turned up for the party. "Everyone who got asked to sing on our album has an important part in our lives," Martin told The Wall Street Journal. He added: "We recorded Blue Ivy Carter in New York when her mom Beyoncé was in the studio."

Blue Ivy is compiling quite some resumé. When she was less than two days old, she became the youngest person ever to appear on a Billboard chart after her cries and coos were included on her father Jay Z's "Glory."
  • The Ben Mor-directed video was filmed in Mumbai, India and features both Beyoncé playing a Bollywood star and Bollywood actress Sonam Kapoor as a mystical muse. There's also a nod to the religious holiday of Holi, the South Asian festival of colors, as children throw colorful powder on Chris Martin.

Beyoncé's appearance dressed up as a Bollywood actress caught some heat online with some detractors calling the clip a work of cultural appropriation.
