Songfacts®:

  • We all have our share of bad habits, and Cole Swindell is no exception. During this heartfelt ballad, he cops to an affinity for good bourbon, and admits he doesn't read enough of the Bible. However, loving his good woman is one habit he has no qualms maintaining.

Yeah, habits like lying next to you
    Like making you laugh
Like filling up a wall full of photographs
    Like learning how to listen
    Red light quick kissin'

Swindell's lover is inspiring him to turn those bad habits into good. "It's a love song about being rough around the edges but meeting someone that changes you for the better," he said about the song.
  • Swindell wrote the song with:

Josh Miller (Bebe Rexha's "Meant to Be," Chris Lane's "Take Back Home Girl").

Scooter Carusoe (Kenny Chesney's "Better As A Memory," Brett Eldredge's "Mean To Me").

Chris LaCorte (Sam Hunt's "Breaking Up Was Easy In The 90s" and "23").
  • Cole Swindell's girlfriend, Courtney Little, plays his lover in the song's music video. He started dating the Former NBA dancer and 2017 Miss Teen North Carolina after they filmed the clip. They tied the knot on June 12, 2024, in an outdoor wedding in Sonoma, California.

"The whole feeling on that day, I just felt like there was something," Swindell remembered to Billboard of filming the clip. "I don't know that I thought we'd be getting married, but I definitely knew that's what I was missing."
