Songfacts®:

  • This stripped-back ballad was released as the official single for Children in Need 2016. Craig David joined a long line of celebrated performers that were the official artist behind the BBC charity's annual release, which include Ellie Goulding, Gareth Malone's All Star Choir and Jessie Glynne.
  • The song is a track from Following My Intuition, Craig David's first #1 album since Born To Do It in 2000. Asked by HMV.com when he settled on the record title, David replied:

"The album was always going to be called Following My Intuition. The main reason is because that's what I've been doing my whole life. Even when I didn't know it, I was still following my intuition. Even when I was a kid growing up on the estate, it was always my intuition which drove me to say no to clubbing and instead stay at home and write the songs which became 'Fill Me In,' '7 Days', 'Re-Rewind'. It's the same with this album, there's been times when I could have gone out but instead all I've wanted to do is to be in the studio and write new music."
