Songfacts®:

  • This song was written by Brandy Clark (Miranda Lambert's "Mama's Broken Heart"), veteran songwriter Dean Dillon's daughter Jessie Dillon (George Strait's "The Breath You Take") and Trevor Rosen (Chris Young's "Neon"). Craig Morgan explained the song's meaning to The Boot: "It talks about a relationship, and for me it's very relatable, because it talks about how you argue and fight, but you'll come back around. And it's just a great, great melody, the lyric is really solid."
  • Morgan told USA Today that he considers this to be a real love song, as it shows a couple secure enough in their relationship to weather the storms. "That's what real love's about," he said. "It's not fun and games all the time. It can be difficult. You have to work at it. That's what this song is about, and, to me, it's kind of a sexy thing."
