Songfacts®:

  • Creep Show is a collaboration between American singer-songwriter John Grant and synth act Wrangler, one of whose members, Stephen Mallinder, was once part of the late 1970s industrial music pioneers Cabaret Voltaire. This soothing love song is from their EP Mr. Dynamite.
  • "Safe and Sound" is a rare John Grant love song without any hidden barbs. He told Uncut: "I wrote it originally for someone else to perform. They had just experienced a breakup so I wanted to comfort them. I won't say who it was to protect the innocent children of our beleaguered planet. But they didn't want the song, so we used it and I was forgiven, and forgave my own damn self for not being my usual prickly pear."
