Songfacts®:

  • This song follows D-Block Europe's usual pattern of rapping about sex, drugs and designer labels, but musically it's more poppy than the South London duo's usual hip-hop and trap fare thanks to the addition of Raye. The singer-songwriter croons a couple of verses from the perspective of a woman who is used to being brought only the best luxury items by her man.
  • The song title is a reference to the prancing horse logo of Italian sports car manufacturer Ferrari and its racing division, Scuderia Ferrari. The symbol used to be the emblem of Italian air ace Francesco Baracca, who had 35 kills and died in the closing months of World War I. When Baracca's mother met Enzo Ferrari many years later, she suggested he use her son's personal emblem on his cars for good luck.
  • Raye wrote the song with D-Block Europe's Dirtbike LB and Young Adz.
  • Obi and Uche Ebele, two beat-making brothers from South London, supplied the production. The siblings, who produce under the name Da Beatfreakz, are best known for their single "808."
  • D-Block Europe recorded the song for their debut album The Blue Print: Us vs. Them, which reached #2 on the UK albums chart.
