Songfacts®:

  • The song's music video uses 1,200 Lite-Brites and 700,000 pegs. No computer animation or digital effects were used in filming the clip and all Lite-Brite images were done by hand including the monkey playing drums in the background, which was set up manually.

The Lite-Brite is an electric toy introduced in 1967 by Hasbro that allows lit pictures to be created. It enables the user to create a "glowing" picture by placing multi-colored translucent plastic pegs through opaque black paper.
