Songfacts®:

  • All five Def Leppard members take turns singing lead vocals on this track, including reticent drummer Rick Allen. "He doesn't normally sing, so he had to be convinced," guitarist Phil Collen told Billboard magazine. "He CAN sing; he chooses not to. But this time we told him, 'OK, it's time for you to sing,' 'cause we'd each done a verse and it was down to him to sing as well. He didn't need much convincing; It was like, 'We're all doing this, so you got to do this as well.'"

  • Dr. Dave Caves from Mississippi1st heard this song during the acoustic section of Def Leppard's Las Vegas residency broadcast. Having worked with, for 35 years, troubled youth, I new that I had stumbled across a song of hope. While the sound is iconic Def Leppard,
the lyrics have a hope filled spiritual connectivity. I'm thinking, "Could there a better way to introduce a new generation to my God and my favorite band?".
