  • Derek Hoke's heart is getting passed around on Electric Mountain, where he demands its return from an ex on "Let Go Of My Heart," only to have it stolen by a new girl on "Say You Will."

"I would think of it as like a bluegrass love song, but we took all the bluegrass out of it," the Nashville singer-songwriter told the Songfacts podcast of the tune. "It's this weird, moody thing."
  • Hoke wanted to make an album that included a range of musical influences - an idea sparked by this song, which was the first track he wrote for the project.

"It's the one that started the idea of blending some Appalachian ideas with some more modern production approaches," he recalled. "Instead of making a straight-up folk/bluegrass record, we wanted to see how far we could take this thing. This was the first one producer Dex Green heard and it got him inspired as well."
  • This features backing vocals from gothic folk singer Thayer Sarrano, who also sings on the album's lead single, "Wild And Free."
