Songfacts®:

  • This single features the vocals of Californian singer Dev and was produced by LA Valley electro-pop duo The Cataracs. Both acts first came to prominence with their contributions to Far East Movement's chart-topper "Like a G6."
  • The song was originally attributed to The Cataracs ft. Dev, with the Californian singer's vocals only being used in the chorus and the alternative verse. She re-recorded the tune for the lead single of her debut album The Night The Sun Came Up with this time The Cataracs' vocals being limited to the bridge.
  • The lyric, "And we sip champagne when we thirsty" is a tribute to the Notorious B.I.G. hit "Juicy."
  • Ethan Lader directed the song's music video; he also helmed the clip for Dev's previous solo single "Booty Bounce." Both Kesha and Far East Movement make cameo appearances in the promo.
  • The song peaked at #10 on the UK singles chart mostly due to sales of the remix featuring Tinie Tempah. However, Dev never actually met up with the English rapper. She explained to Digital Spy: "We actually did the duet over the internet as we're both really busy and it was through the management that I was introduced to him, but he buffed up my track pretty good! I haven't caught him live yet, but I've managed to see him on a couple of late night chatshows and he's doing an amazing job out there."
