Songfacts®:

  • Dirty Heads frontman Jared Watson says that this is his favorite song from the Any Port in a Storm album. He told us: "In that song, we're giving a shout-out to a lot of the bands that inspired us to become musicians. And then a shout-out to all the people out there who are trying to become musicians. Like, it can happen. We had bands we loved growing up, we wanted to be in a band and we did it, like anyone really can."
  • Watson decided to pursue music for a career after playing some acoustic shows with Dirty Heads that got a great response. His other passion was skateboarding, which wasn't a lucrative career choice at the time. Said Watson: "My knees are all messed up, my mom's on my case, I'm probably not going to make it already, I don't know how much money I'll make. Now skateboarders are making tons of dough. But it just seemed like the right thing to do."
