• This disco nugget was the second for two-hit-wonder Disco Tex & The Sex-O-Lettes (after "Get Dancin'"), who were fronted by Joseph Montanez (he called himself Sir Monti Rock III). The group was formed by producer Bob Crewe, who is most famous for shepherding The Four Seasons, but also had a hit of his own with "Music To Watch Girls By." Crewe brought in Denny Randell, who he worked with on The Four Seasons, to write songs and do arrangements for Disco Tex - Crewe and Rendell are the composers on this track.
  
  When we spoke with Randell in 2011, he had fond memories of the disco sound, telling us, "In the heart of the disco era there was a point where pop music and dance music were really one and the same. There was a period of time where the hottest records in the clubs were also the hottest records on the air. But one of the neat things about this period, and it's something that really worked for me, was that it was a great union of big band and horns and strings and rhythms."
• One of the Sex-O-Lettes was Jocelyn Brown, who sang on this track. Where you've most likely heard her is on the Snap! song "The Power," where she sings the "I've got The Power!" line. She's a musical ringer, appearing - usually uncredited - on albums by John Lennon, Mick Jagger, Billy Idol and hundreds of others, as well as a slew of commercial jingles. She had a UK hit with a solo song called "Somebody Else's Guy."
