David Draiman, the band's lead singer, had to make some pretty big sacrifices in his life to become a rock star. One of them was love (at least for the time being - he married WWE star Lena Yada in 2011), because it's difficult to trust other people's motives when you're famous. He said the hard-hitting track is "about how choosing this way of life, this path that we are on, some more than others. You force yourself to be guarded. The lyrics are me speaking to myself. I made this decision to lead this sort of life and therefore I'm unfortunately deprived of certain things, like love in a true sense."
According to Draiman, this was chosen as their third album's lead single "to just whet everybody's appetite." He added: "It's one of the more aggressive tracks on the record, just to remind everybody where we came from and who we are."
Ten Thousand Fists was Disturbed's second consecutive album, following Believe, to debut at #1 in the US.
This peaked at #7 on the Mainstream Rock chart and #28 on the Modern Rock chart.
This was the first Disturbed single to feature John Moyer, who replaced Steve "Fuzz" Kmak on bass guitar in 2004. He wasn't credited as a full-fledged member of the band, however, until they went on tour to support the album.
This was used on the soundtrack to the 2007 videogame MX vs. ATV Untamed.
This was included on the soundtrack to the 2006 horror film Saw III.

I am guessing it can be about that, but in the words of David Draiman it is about how he chooses his way of life.
