Songfacts®:

  • Frontman David Draiman comes from an Orthodox Jewish family. The singer has many relatives living in Israel, including his brother and grandmother, and he penned this song about the Holocaust. He explained on the Blabbermouth.net site: "Both of my grandparents on my mother's side were survivors of the camps. I've got other relatives who are survivors, and my entire mother's side of the family, save my grandmother and grandfather and a couple of their siblings, were completely wiped out. So I felt it was important to write about it because I realized that the last generation of survivors is about to be lost."
  • Other songs that deal with the Jewish holocaust include "Alive With the Glory of Love" by Say Anything, "Waiting For the Worms" by Pink Floyd, and "Angel of Death" by Slayer.
  • "Never Again" appears on Disturbed's fifth studio album, Asylum. Darker than the band's previous albums, the tone reflects the headspace Draiman was in as he tried to deal with several personal issues, including a rough breakup, a broken friendship, and the loss of his dog.

  • John from UkOne of my alltime fave Disturbed songs, and one of their heaviest, especially the fab intro!
  • Crystal from SocalAmazing song. David said it perfectly in the last line: "Believe me, never again." I pray they hold true!
  • Zero from Nowhere, NjGreat song!
