Songfacts®:

  • We've had "Smoke On The Water," so why not the fire that goes with it? Although most musicologists would not put this in the same class, "Fire On The Water" is a fine effort when one considers it is the first song on their first album in English. Divlje Jagode were formed in the now long defunct nation of Yugoslavia; the 1987 album Wild Strawberries (the English translation of their name and recorded as such) contains this and more of the same. Running to around 3 minutes 33 seconds, "Fire On The Water" was written by lead guitarist Zele Lipovaca. >>>
