"I was in this restaurant in Miami with massive f--king yachts pulling up to it and all these smug pricks in it started spraying Champagne around while waiters handed out umbrellas," he grimaced to NME. "I felt miserable. I looked at it, like, 'Is this it? You've worked hard, you've made it and is this what you do now? You spray Champagne around for a laugh?'"
  • Dizzee also rails during the song against the post-Olympic social-cleansing of his old east London stomping ground. He samples a speech by the former mayor of London Boris Johnson, who makes the promise that London will never become ghettoized like Paris.

  • "Everything Must Go" also samples Margaret Thatcher. "I've never seen someone so loved and so hated in England, Rascal said of the late UK Conservative prime minister to Q magazine. "I thought that quote was perfect because it sounds like the attitude of capitalism, full stop. It's about the money, especially London. Anyone who acts like it is not is lying."
