Songfacts®:

  • This is a track from British rapper Dizzee Rascal's fourth studio album, Tongue N' Cheek.
  • This irresponsible paean to the joys of dangerous driving is a fast rapping account of an unfortunate incident in Dizzee Rascal's life. He told The Sun August 28, 2009: "I'd literally just got my car about four days before when I crashed into a police car. Of all the things that could have happened!"
  • Rascal explained to The Sun how he wrote this song: "I was sitting on a coach on tour of America. I got an instrumental of a Lil Jon song and felt like writing some lyrics to it…so I did.
In San Francisco, Aaron LaCrate, who DJs for me out there, was just doing some beats over the speaker while we were rehearsing. I was like, 'Whoa, what's that' and that's when the song began to take shape."
