Songfacts®:

  • In rap music, "Ballin" means to live large and show off your wealth. Its use in hip-hop dates back to the early 1990s. An early example is on N.W.A.'s 1990 track "100 Miles and Runnin'," where Eazy E rapped, "Just like Carl Lewis I'm Ballin." (Lewis was a famous sprinter and long jumper).
  • Here, guest rapper Roddy Ricch spits braggadocio rhymes about his come up and riches. He boasts about some of the expensive clothes, cars and bling he can now afford and the girls he's with.
  • This collaboration is the first time Mustard has worked with his fellow West Coast artist Roddy Ricch.
  • The song samples at the beginning 702's 1997 single "Get It Together."
