Songfacts®:

  • DJ Snake recorded this English-Spanish dancehall song with Puerto Rican reggaeton singer Ozuna, American rapper Megan Thee Stallion, and Thai singer and rapper Lisa of the K-Pop girl group Blackpink. The French producer released the single on October 22, 2021 through DJ Snake Music Productions and Interscope Records.
  • "SG" (an acronym for "Sexy Girl") starts off with an infatuated Ozuna telling his love interest he wants to hook up with her. Megan takes the baton for the second verse, where she confidently boasts about her allure to men. Lisa concludes the track by flirting back to Ozuna, telling him she wants to spend the night dancing with him.
  • DJ Snake has worked with Ozuna on a couple of occasions before. One of them, the 2018 hit "Taki Taki," is another song featuring an international team of superstars (Ozuna, Cardi B and Selena Gomez) and English-Spanish lyrics. The other artists have never worked together before.
  • There are 11 credited songwriters, including the four artists and frequent Blackpink collaborator Teddy Park.
  • DJ Snake co-produced the song with Yampi, one of Ozuna's frequent collaborators.
  • Colin Tilley shot the tropical-themed music video in Miami. It incorporates all four artists, both alone and together, cavorting in yachts and pools. Tilley also directed DJ Snake's videos for "Middle Middle," "A Different Way," "Taki Taki," "Loco Contigo" and "Fuego."
