Songfacts®:

  • The first track on ex-Eagle Don Felder's second solo album, he told us about the song in our 2013 interview. "We all have a commonality, as far as the human condition, that people can relate to," said Felder. "And true art, to me, whether it's literature, poetry, music, photography, filmmaking, all carry that kind of substance that people have experienced, can see or hear and relate to and share that common denominator of the human condition and be empathetic to it. They can relate to it. And so whether it's a play or music or literature or whatnot, it needs to be able to relate to people on a human level that way."
  • Felder brought in some big names to help out with the album, including David Paich and Steve Lukather of Toto, and Randy Jackson of American Idol. On this track, David Crosby, Stephen Stills and Graham Nash sang backup.
