Songfacts®:

  • "Attitude" is a track from Don Toliver's fourth album, Hardstone Psycho. Since he's blown up and earned lots of stacks, things have changed. Toliver is warning all the women out there that he's a new man, and if they aren't on his level, forget about it. Basically, he's got "attitude" and only wants queens who roll like he does.
  • The track's got a slizzy beat courtesy of New York rapper/producer Cash Cobain, the same dude who cooked up Drake's "Calling For You" and PinkPantheress' "Nice To Meet You." Cobain also jumps on the mic himself and drops some X-rated rhymes.
  • For a touch of old-school magic, "Attitude" incorporates a sample of Charlie Wilson's soulful vocals from Snoop Dogg and Pharrell's classic 2002 track "Beautiful."

This isn't Toliver's first time sampling a Neptunes banger – he previously flipped Beenie Man and Mýa's "Girls Dem Sugar" on his track "4 Me" with his girlfriend Kali Uchis.
  • Toliver premiered "Attitude" at his Abu Dhabi show on April 27, 2024. The song leaked in full eight days later and the Houston artist released it as a single via Cactus Jack on May 22, 2024.
  • The music video maintains the same leather jacket-wearing biker gang aesthetic from Toliver's previous Hardstone Psycho releases, "Deep in the Water" and "Bandit." Oh, and there's a sneaky cameo from his Cactus Jack boss, Travis Scott, so keep your eyes peeled!
