Songfacts®:

  • This is the third track to be released from Detox, the third studio album by rapper and producer Dr. Dre. It was premiered on May 6, 2011 on the final episode of Showtime's Fight Camp 360°: Pacquiao vs. Mosley, a documentary focusing on the preparations for the Manny Pacquiao - "Sugar" Shane Mosley welterweight title fight.
  • The song features Dre's one-time protégé Eminem and finds the Hip-Hop legend admitting to the pressure he's dealing with in recording his much delayed third solo album. He raps: "It's on, blood pressure racing, I calculate my next step, which is to accept my expectations/ Are sort of too high to meet, my reputation's in jep, yep, face it, the fans, they been upset yet patient/ I love them for that." Eminem continues the theme during the chorus: "I sit into the wee hours of the night, then we don't stop until the sunlight/ We just keep going 'cause the die-hard won't go down without a fight."
  • The Detox album never got released as Dre thought it "just wasn't good." Speaking on his Beats 1 radio show, The Pharmacy, he added: "I don't think I did a good enough job, and I couldn't do that to my fans, and I couldn't do that to myself."
