Songfacts®:

  • "Gospel" is a previously unreleased track that Dr. Dre recorded with Eminem. It is one of six exclusive tracks from the "Nuthin' But A G Thang" rapper featuring in the Grand Theft Auto playable online story The Contract.
  • Both rappers spit boastful verses about their longevity at the top of the rap game. Dre also disses his ex-wife Nicole Young, who filed for divorce in June 2020, citing irreconcilable differences.

Lookin' for my next gold digger
This summer here gon' be colder than winter

After fighting a $1 billion legal battle with his ex-wife of 24 years, Dre finalized the divorce just five days before the song's release. As Young will earn around $3.5 million a year in spousal support, the rap mogul accuses her of being a gold digger.
  • GTA Online's expansion, The Contract, is an adventure set in the city of Los Santos that incorporates Dr. Dre. Players help the character Franklin and friends to set up "celebrity solutions" agency F. Clinton and Partner, with Dre serving as their first client. They are tasked with helping track down his snatched phone, which contains the rap icon's missing new music.
  • All six Grand Theft Auto Online: The Contract tracks were officially released as an EP on February 3, 2022. They arrived just in time for Dr. Dre's participation in the Super Bowl halftime show 10 days later.
