Songfacts®:

  • After recording numerous takes for this fantasy epic's guitar solo, Herman Li couldn't decide which one to use. So he got his pet pooch to choose. The DragonForce guitarist explained to Arena: "In one of the solos, I was using the Whammy effect pedal, which bends the pitch of the notes really high. So I did a bunch of takes, which I thought were equally as good as the others, and couldn't decide which one to use."

"My dog loves high-pitched guitar sounds and always does a cute face when she hears it. I basically played all the takes to my dog to see which one made her do the cutest face to make the cut. Yeah, my dog picked the solo to be on the album!"
