Songfacts®:

  • Drake has been seen on the sidelines of many of the Toronto Raptors games. He dropped "Omertà" as one half of a two-track single in celebration of the Raptors' victory in the 2019 NBA Finals along with its companion, "Money in the Grave." The cover photo features Drake's signature over the NBA's Larry O'Brien Championship Trophy.
  • The track finds Aubrey Graham reflecting on simpler times before he found fame as Drake the rapper. He considers all the things he has done, out of both love and hate, and regrets nothing.
  • "Omertà" is a code of silence attributed to the Mafia that includes an oath to stay quiet in the face of questioning by authorities or outsiders. The song title does not appear in the lyrics but Drake references the Mafia branch, Cosa Nostra, near the end.

West Hollywood, know my presence is menacing
    Cosa Nostra, shady dealings
Racketeering, the syndicate got they hand in plenty things
  • The song was produced by OZ, a beatmaker from Zurich, Switzerland who also produced Travis Scott's "Sicko Mode."
