  • Drake is questioning his girl's loyalty here. He doubts she is as committed to the relationship as she should be, so he asks her the straight-up question, "Is you with me what or what?"
  • The song kicks off with the sound of a phone ringing, followed by a jolting sample from DMX's 1999 track "What These Bitches Want." Drake then comes in with the lines "On some DMX s--t . I group DM my exes." Later on, the hook interpolates another DMX number, his 1998 single "How's It Goin' Down."

Eyebrows have been raised at these references to the Ruff Ryders rapper, as DMX has previously had some not very nice things to say about Drake. Back in 2012, he said during a Breakfast Club interview. "I don't like anything about Drake. I don't like his f---ing voice; I don't like the s--t he talks about. I don't like his face. I don't like the way he walks. Nothing. I don't like his haircut."
  • Drake's rhymes for Views include several plays on words on the names of other artists. He raps here about one of exes accusing him of not acting responsibly.

You tell me that I'm confusin'
    More immature than Marques Houston

The reference here is to Marques Houston, founder member of the 1990s R&B singing group Immature, later known as IMX.
  • Seven different producers get credits on this song: DJ Dahi, Noah "40" Shebib, Kanye West, Vinylz, OZ, Ricci Riera, and Axlfoliethc. The latter two, both members of the production trio THC, created the skeleton of the instrumentation for the track's back half before passing it to DJ Dahi. "They gave me the beat, and I kinda finished it, gave it more texture, and just completed the idea," Dahi told Genius.
