  • D.R.A.M. linked up with A$AP Rocky and Juicy J for this goofy track, which references the classic 1960s castaway sitcom Gilligan's Island.

"Juicy asked me to come into the studio to do a hook for him," DRAM explained to Genius. "I was like, 'Damn. That s--t sound like the game music station on Grand Theft Auto 3.' Then I was just like, 'Alright I think I got something.' I leaned over to Juice and I was like, 'Gone off the s--t again. That's just how I live.' He was like, 'I can barely hear that, but that s--t sound like it's going! Go in the booth and record it.'"

"Then Juice, he just went in there and went off the top," he continued. "We just knew we had something on our hands. And that ended up being even more important than the hook that I ended up laying for him, as far as what we were excited about."
  • Rocky's verse came about during a session D.R.A.M. had with the Harlem rapper two or three weeks later. D.R.A.M. recalled:

"We was just playing each other s--t, recording, vining. I said, 'Yo bro. I got this one song, bro. I got a joint with Juicy, man. This s--t would probably be hard as f--k if you f---ng with it.' He was like, 'Yeah. Play me that joint!' I played for him. He was like, 'Say less. Send that s--t to me.' And I think a week later I got the s--t and then a few weeks later, put it out there."
  • Gone off the s--t again, that's just how I live
Lost just like Gilligan on my own island

D.R.A.M. admitted he's not necessarily a full-blown fan of Gilligan's Island: "I was born in '88, so I got a lot of different eras of TV. S--t still had jingles in their commercials or whatever. But, I'm kind of an old soul. I know about certain s--t. But I'm not gonna sit here and tell you I've watched a full episode of Gilligan's Island. I know exactly who he is and I've heard the song. I skipped it when I saw it on TV Land and watched Cartoon Network."
  • Want another song that references Gilligan's Island? Weird Al Yankovic wrote a parody of Tone Loc's "Wild Thing", called "Isle Thing", which is about the sitcom. The track can be found on the parodist's 1989 album UHF – Original Motion Picture Soundtrack and Other Stuff.
