  • The 1965 French film Pierrot Le Fou tells of a married man who runs away with his babysitter. The movie was an inspiration for this song. Vocalist Eoin Loveless explained to Artist Direct: "At the end of Pierrot Le Fou, the main character runs up to the top of a small hill by the sea, paints his face blue and then wraps dynamite around his head before setting off the charge. That's not really what the song is about, but it's got a similar aim within it - absolute destruction to signify the end."
