  • Duffy went through a wild streak between the ages of 15 to 18. She told The Mail on Sunday's You Magazine, "I did everything from body piercing to going on 48-hour binge-drink beach parties, to stealing someone's boat late at night and rowing it from one place to another when we were drunk, to jumping on a milk float at 4am for a lift home." Some of Duffy's family were concerned about her and thought she'd end up making a tragic mistake - one aunt told her she'd end up a single mother on benefits. This piece of joyous, string-fueled pop is sung from the point of view of a pregnant girl, and reflects her aunt's unfulfilled prediction.
