  • 1999?
  • Dylan Gossett is a singer-songwriter from Austin, Texas, whose music blends traditional and outlaw country and folk. "I have Texas country roots, and I also love red dirt Americana," he notes. "My sound is indebted to both. 50 percent of my passion is singing and the other 50 percent is writing. That's where a lot of the enjoyment of making music comes from."
  • While pursuing his degree at Texas A&M University, Gossett gained experience in the world of motor sports by working in the Operations team at Circuit of the Americas, the renowned Formula One racetrack in Austin.
  • Gossett launched his online presence on YouTube. His success there drew him to TikTok, where his cover of the Lumineers' "Ophelia" struck a chord and earned widespread acclaim.
  • Gossett self-released his debut single, "To Be Free," on June 20, 2023. Fueled by the "weed and gasoline" line, it exploded on TikTok. He dropped his second single, "Coal," a month later.
  • He self-released his debut EP, No Better Time. The six-track record caught the ear of several major labels, and in November 2023 Gossett signed with Big Loud Texas/Mercury Records in collaboration with Range Media Partners (Big Loud Texas is a joint venture between Miranda Lambert, Jon Randall and Big Loud Records).

"Tyler [Arnold] and Jake [Levensohn] from Mercury flew down to Texas to meet with me, and we instantly clicked," Gossett told Billboard of his signing. "After meeting with Jon, Miranda and Seth [England] from Big Loud, it was a dream scenario to be able to combine forces and do this all together as a team."
  • Gossett got married at Inspiring Oaks Ranch in Texas in February 2023. His song "Beneath Oak Trees" was inspired by that special day.
