Songfacts®:

  • This song was inspired by a street near the North London home frontman and lyricist Tom Smith shares with his partner, Radio 1 DJ Edith Bowman, and their infant son Rudy. He explained to The News of the World September 20, 2009: "I didn't deliberately set out to write about that side of my life but parenthood is so important to me that I can't see how it wouldn't have had an effect on my lyrics. You're looking at the world through new eyes, as the place where your child is going to grow up, so automatically your horizons broaden."
