Songfacts®:

  • Emblem3 are a boyband comprising Wesley Trent Stromberg (vocals, rhythm guitar), his younger brother Keaton Robert Stromberg (vocals, bass guitar) and their best friend Drew Michael Chadwick (vocals, lead guitar). The Stromberg brothers come from a family very much in the entertainment industry. Their father, William T.Stromberg, is a Grammy-nominated film composer, and their uncle, visual effects artist Robert Stromberg, has won two Academy Awards as Art Director for Avatar and Alice in Wonderland. Their mother, Laraine Claire, is a jazz harp player and composer.

Emblem3 were mentored by Simon Cowell on the second season of X Factor in the US. They was eliminated on the semi-final result show on the Fox music talent show and placed in fourth place. The threesome were quickly signed to a recording contract jointly by Simon Cowell's Syco and Columbia Records. This upbeat summery anthem was penned by the trio with Kool Kojak, Peter Svensson, and Savan Kotecha with the latter also producing the track. It was released as their first single on April 15, 2013.
  • Emblem3 announced on its website on June 21, 2014 that Drew had left to pursue a solo career. "We're sad to see Drew go but he will always be our brother, and we couldn't be happier for him as he starts his new journey as a solo artist," the remaining pair wrote. "Drew sends hugs out to all the Emblems."
