Songfacts®:

  • Villanova is a university outside of Philadelphia. This song describes an encounter where Hutchinson finds himself at a girl's place, with a decision to make.

"That song was about a Lolita-type girl who was just a strange girl that I met after a show," he said in a Songfacts interview. "She was really coming on strong, and I thought it was probably a better idea to just go home and write a song about her than find out what was going on there."
