Songfacts®:

  • Swedish singer-songwriter Erik Hassle is best known for featuring on the English version of Stromrae's hit single "Alors On Danse" and co-writing Shakira and Rihanna's "Can't Remember To Forget You."
  • This mournful song finds Hassle unable to express his love for someone. Now living in Los Angeles, he penned the tune during a trip home to Sweden. "I was really in love with a girl but I couldn't communicate it to her, and I missed my chance there," he told Billboard magazine. "I knew I wasn't gonna get her, but I still had hope. The song is about feeling very happy and sad, like dancing and crying."
