• Stewart and Lennox were a couple while they were bandmates in a group called The Tourists from 1977-1980. Soon after forming Eurythmics in 1980, they split up, but continued making music together. Many of their early songs express the complex feelings that come with being in such proximity to your ex-lover.
• "Eurythmics" is a real word - it is the art of interpreting music through bodily movements. It was developed in the early 1900s by the Swiss musician Émile Jaques-Dalcroze, who used it to teach music. His teachings were applied by the French mime Étienne Decroux.
• They rose up at the same time MTV was becoming a powerhouse, which worked well for the duo because they made high-concept videos and had a striking visual presentation. Lennox made sure that her sexuality was never the focus, presenting a more complex image with a series of different looks. In their videos for "Love Is A Stranger" and "Sweet Dreams (Are Made Of This)," she has an androgynous look that stood out on the network.
• Lennox and Stewart first met in 1977 when Stewart came into the London restaurant Pippins, where she was working as a waitress. Stewart was born and raised in Sunderland and was in a group called Longdancer, which was signed to Elton John's Rocket Records; Lennox is from Aberdeen, Scotland and came to London to study at the Royal Academy of Music.
• Eurythmics were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2022. Dave Stewart issued this statement: "We've been through it all and seen it all. I met Annie when she was 21 years old, we were just kids then; two dreamers collided and sparks flew. Annie from Aberdeen, Scotland and me from Sunderland, England. Neither of us ever dreamed this moment would happen. But then again, if you are a dreamer, I suppose anything can happen. Fortunately for us, almost everything happened and we survived!"
• In an interview with Billboard magazine, Lennox talked about her days before the Eurythmics: "I was really a hybrid between Stevie Wonder and Joni Mitchell, walking the streets as a singer/songwriter, but nobody knew it but me." >>

• Jane from TorontoBon Jovi wrote a song about stackers which is discusting for women that went trough it or are victims going through this expererience. That song is discusting Eurythmics wrote a song that like to be abuse or like to abuse people. They are as bad ann discusting as Bon Jovi. Those songs or any another like this should be banned from at least radios. Those people don't need those frightful worlds in their world.
