Songfacts®:

  • Evacuate Chicago's drummer Alex Preiss told us: "'Perfect Ratio' is probably my favorite song on the album. I wrote that one when I was at my worst, and it kind of glorifies feeling hopeless. Not that feeling hopeless is awesome, but it's a good summary of that point in my life. I was especially proud of the lyrics on this one too. The pre-chorus fit together so perfectly, and I feel it really got my point across. And since everyone always asks; yes, I wrote this late at night with a beer in hand."
