Songfacts®:

  • Everlife is a Nashville-based Christian pop-rock trio comprising the sisters Amber, Sarah, and Julia Ross. This title track from their third studio album was written by the threesome as a call to challenge culturally accepted concepts of beauty, acknowledging the struggle of many young women and moving powerfully from questioning and confession to triumph and empowerment.
  • The song's music video also portrays the song's message. "We really struggled with the scenes where we barely had makeup and just white T-shirts and bare feet," admitted Julia Ross. "We don't always feel good about ourselves without wearing what we think covers our flaws. But we loved the shots because we are also singing this song back to ourselves."
