Songfacts®:

  • This rave anthem with a soft centre is the lead single by English rapper/singer Example, from his third album, Playing in the Shadows. The single debuted on Zane Lowe's BBC Radio 1 show on March 24, 2011. Example told Lowe that the album is about "Partying and relationships and questioning should I be doing this? Should I be doing that?"
  • The black and white Adam Powell directed music video was filmed at a packed Ministry Of Sound in South London.
  • The song was Example's first ever UK #1. His previous best chart-placing had been "Kickstarts," which peaked at #3. The rapper/singer also made #2 as a guest artist on Wretch 32's "Unorthodox."
  • Example admitted to NME in 2015 that he no longer listens to this tune. "I don't dislike the song, it's done really well for me. It's the reason I've got other big songs. It's the song that got me attention overseas and allowed me to tour the world," he said. "But if it comes on the radio, I've got to turn it off."
