Songfacts®:

  • This fluety, atmospheric album closer is a tribute to Example's late pal. "It's about a friend of mine who was in a bad way, and he ended up taking his life," he explained to The Daily Mirror. "When you hear the lyrics, it starts to make sense. I was trying to understand what might be going through someone's head as they make their last walk before they take their life. He was under a lot of pressure, my friend, and he was an amazing guy. He spent his whole life making other people happy, but it got too much for him. Imagine having 15 people relying on you, your mother, your brothers and sisters, your kids. It's at the end because it is the end, really."

"The inspiration came from Massive Attack, Aphex Twin," Example added. "It's a tribute to him, and a fitting way to close the album. His family have said they really love it, which means such a lot to me."
