Songfacts®:

  • The reggae-tinged track is a fun and flirty tune co-written by the Fifth Harmony girls. Normani Kordei told Radio.com: "We feel like it really represents who we are just because we're from different places and we have different nationalities so we bring something different to the table as far as our cultures."
  • Dinah Jane Hansen described the track on an Instagram as one of those, "feel-good songs that you can't help but jam to."
  • The song was co-produced by Swedish production and writing team Stargate (Rihanna, Coldplay), American pop hitmaker Benny Blanco (Katy Perry, Britney Spears) and LA-based songwriter and producer Sir Nolan (Nick Jonas, Pitbull).
  • The chorus samples Jamaican DJ Mad Cobra's 1992 reggae crossover song "Flex." Fifth Harmony's version is more radio-friendly than the original lyrics, which leave little to the imagination.
  • MTV gave this the award for Song of the Summer at the 2016 Video Music Awards.
