Songfacts®:

  • Fifth Harmony are a five-member girl group comprising Ally Brooke, Normani Kordei, Lauren Jauregui, Camila Cabello and Dinah-Jane Hansen. Each member auditioned for the 2012 American The X Factor as a solo artist, before being put together as a group by the judges. They only became Fifth Harmony as their original name, The Lylas, was already taken by Bruno Mars's sisters. After ending up in third place on the show, the group was signed by Simon Cowell and L.A. Reid's record labels, Syco Music and Epic Records. This was released as their debut single on July 16, 2013.
  • This was written by Jason Evigan, Julia Michaels, Lindy Robbins and produced by the former with his Suspex partner Mitch Allan. Evigan recalled to MTV News the story of the song: "Me, Lindy and Julia had a writing session. I started playing these chord progressions. I don't know how it happened but I was like 'Did you just say miss movin' on?' So they thought of this crazy concept. And then I just feel like it was a dream. It was a haze."

"It just happened magically," Evigan added. "So, me and Mitch produced it together and it sounds the way it does now."
