Songfacts®:

  • Five Finger Death Punch frontman Ivan Moody apologizes here for the time he's wasted and the hurt he's caused as a result of his addiction issues. Now he has picked himself up and is changing things for the better, he is able to see clearly the damage he's done.
  • The video was shot at the Angelus Rosedale Cemetery in Los Angeles with Nathan Cox (Linkin Park, Foo Fighters) directing. The clip finds Moody wandering the cemetery, and along the way we see the tombstones for various late lamented rock icons ranging from Elvis Presley, Jimi Hendrix and Kurt Cobain to Amy Winehouse. Eventually he digs his own grave with a headstone that has a born date, but no end. The band said:

"The video is a dark somber metaphor that speaks for itself. I don't think we need a parallel narrative to explain it or emphasize its impact as almost everyone knows someone struggling with some form of addiction. It's real for everybody. We have even been losing exceptionally bright, talented people who you'd assume know better. No matter how much support you provide, ultimately it's everyone's own decision to face their demons or perish."
