Songfacts®:

  • This is a track from Foals' What Went Down album. Asked about his lyric writing for the record by HMV.com, Philippakis replied: "I write all the time in my journal, I write prosaic things about what's going on and then it can go off into space a little bit, sometimes that's where I get songs."

"With this record it got tangled up in my sleep pattern, I have trouble sleeping and I'd wake up at night and be in that weird state of consciousness and I'd write down what I was thinking," he continued. "The songs are quite dreamlike and nightmarish, a lot of the symbols in the songs are dream-like and a lot of the lyrics came from those moments, so I can't directly remember writing them, it's an odd state."
  • This song was jammed by the band. Philippakis recalled to NME: "I remember it feeling very evocative of a summer's evening, the clarity that comes after a blistering day."
