Songfacts®:

  • This is the theme song from the movie Priceless in which For King & Country's Joel Smallbone co-stars. The film tells the story of a man who gets thrown into the dark world of human trafficking.
  • For King & Country wrote about the penning of the tune on Genius:

"It's a song that we have been trying to write in a roundabout way for years and years and years, and it's just never come. But then, in the last 3 or 4 months, out comes this song! 'Priceless!'

Our challenge was, as men, how to write a song with the word 'Priceless' and still have it feel masculine, you know. It was a super hard thing to achieve, because you don't want it to come off soft, you want it to come off strong, and we worked super hard trying to make it feel like it had some weight to it."
  • Joel Smallbone is encouraging a girl that she's worth more than she knows. She only sees her flaws, but there's much more to her. To him, she's "irreplaceable, unmistakable, incomparable," and "oh, so priceless."
