Songfacts®:

  • This ode to Kate Bush's 1985 song "Waking The Witch" features Foxes' mother telling her daughter to wake up. We also hear the singer's grandma speaking and Foxes told Radio.com the latter's voice was recorded by accident after she unknowingly recorded her on her phone. "She's just puttering around the kitchen just saying things, talking loads of random stuff," Foxes explained. "I realized it was on there and thought it was weird. A couple of months later I was in the studio and remember playing it and thought, 'That's crazy, I have to put that on there.'"
  • The song was made available for free for those who pre-ordered Glorious on iTunes.
