Titties & Beer

Songfacts®:

  • This one is weird even for Mr Zappa. No, it is not about an orgy, rather we see him having a bizarre conversation with the Devil - played by drummer Terry Bozzio in a devil mask. Old Nick has just swallowed a young lady named Crissy, who supplied, well, not the beer.

As with many of Zappa's "offbeat" works, it is difficult to know how seriously to take this song, but the references to Richard Nixon and Spiro Agnew, and his allusion to eight years with Warner Brothers being Hell or worse indicate that on one level it was intended to be taken seriously. >>>
