Songfacts®:

  • "Dave Flow" is a song of gratitude where Fredo tells the story of his success. On this chorus-less cut he celebrates going from sleeping on friends' sofas to sailing on yachts in the Caribbean.

But after all the stuff done, I'm tryna see if I can get in Heaven as a plus one
'Cause Lord knows on Earth, all my feelings and my love's done
It's like I only love Mum, my little princess, and I love guns

Fredo has abandoned the idea of love and romantic relationships but maintains a strong bond with his mother and daughter.

They say the sun don't feel so good if you ain't had rain
And they say the fun don't feel so good if you ain't had pain

Despite his wealth and fame, Fredo has faced setbacks but always overcame them. He values hard work and self-discipline and takes pride in his achievements.
  • I call this my Dave flow, it's elegant

Fredo and his fellow London rapper Dave have collaborated on several songs in the past, including their UK #1 hit "Funky Friday," "All I Ever Wanted," "Money Talks," "Back To Basics" and "In The Fire." Although Dave doesn't have a verse on this track, the song adds another chapter to their friendship.

Fredo mentions Dave a second time when he recalls winning some money from him.

Like how Dave lost sixty-three thousand on a bet with me
Now I bet he you that he won't never bet with Fred again

The rapper plays on his name and that of the English producer Fred Again.
  • Mason X Beats produced the track. He previously linked up with Fredo on the rapper's 2020 "Daily Duppy" freestyle.
  • The Toxix TV-directed video transports us to Dubai, where we witness Fredo, and later Dave, relishing the renowned skyline and all the attractions that come with being in the city.
