Songfacts®:

  • This song finds Gabrielle linking up with the boy band East 17, who were best known for their 1994 UK #1 hit, "Stay Another Day." She recalled to Digital Spy: "They were the loveliest guys on the planet. I was a huge fan of them at the time, so when the opportunity came to work with them I obviously took it. I don't have a bad word to say about them. It was an incredible time - all the girls loved them and then you've got little old me singing along with them. They made me feel so welcome."

Gabrielle added: "It was weird for some people because there weren't so many collaborations back then, but I'm such a pop kid at heart, to be honest with you, that I didn't care."
  • The song was originally a massive stateside hit for the American vocal quartet Shai. It peaked at #2 on the Hot 100 in 1992 under the title of "If I Ever Fall In Love."
