Songfacts®:

  • "It's Only A Simple Song" or simply "Simple Song" was written by Geoff Long, who recorded it for his After The Party CD. When we asked him about its genesis in a March 2010 interview, he said he could recall only that he had written it in or about 1975. Like the rest of this album it was "Engineered, Mixed and Mastered by Roger Cotton," at The Roundel Studios, Kent. Cotton also played acoustic guitar on the track. >>>
